Renewing of Life
The life of a leaf
It begins with the floating in the morning breeze, this little red leaf appears; then starts its journey on the riverbed. Darkness asends for only moments then we are reunited with the red leaf flowing down the riverbed in winter wonderment, just lazily flowing down. All of a sudden the leaf is caught on a rock for a moment but then just as before starts its desend downward along with the current. Our little red friend makes it past yet another obsticle, a huingry bear looking to catch a fish. The leaf continues its journey til "hopping" upon the riverbank and dancing. Joined by friends it makes its journey to a tree as the sun is about to set.
We can connect the illistration of the leaf as life for human beings. Winter symbolizing the season in which the land dies and animals and humans slow down and await spring. Spring then is ajoined with the rebirthing and cerimounous dance and journey of the leaf being reunited with the tree. Then as the sun sets the journey is complete, meaning life has come once again.

The Meaning of Me
Chelsea: \ch(el)-sea\ as a girl's name is pronounced CHELL-see. It is of Old English origin, and the meaning of Chelsea is "chalk landing place". From "cealc hyo", a place name for a port where chalk shipments were received. 20th-century coinage and place name, in reference to the glamorous district in London and several places in America, the earliest of which, in Maryland, was named in 1739. Possibly linked with British pop culture of the late 1960s and songs like Joni Mitchell's "Chelsea Morning".http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Chelsea
My father named me when he adopted me at birth. While his name is really easy to rhyme with profanity, he thought that by naming me Chelsea it would be difficult for children to rhyme with anything with meaning.

Sacred Place:Church
While others may like the confines of a small church, I love that my church is HUGE! VBF is an amazing place. You can go in your pjs or dress up, everyone is so nice and really are there for you. Church is a place where I can go and reflect on myself and where I need to be in my life with God.Saturday, October 6, 2012
Quotes From Adriadne's Clue 3-60
Three insightful/interesting quotes:
"Ultimate success is rewarded with the treasure hard to attain - as often as not the throne of a kingdom or a beautiful princess as a bride" (Stevens 51)."As a species we are predisposed to form bonds of attachment to crucial figures in our lives" (Stevens 48).
"...Our need to discover meanings, to know the nature of things, to explain origins, has given rise to the universal production of cosmologies with their symbols of chaotic waters, primordial animals, sky gods, earth mothers, cosmic trees, titans, original men and women, and so on" (Stevens 43).
One confusing quote:
Quoted from Joesph Cambell (1990) in Adriadne's Clue "A myth is a public dream, a dream is a private myth" (Stevens 41).better late than never?
